Crown of Thorns Jesus is the true King of Kings and Lord of Lords (Revelation 19:16). Yet when He was crucified, those who rejected Him placed a crown of thorns upon His head in mockery (Matthew 27:29; John 19:2-3). They were blind in their rebellion and did not see that He was the Christ. In a similar way, the enemy seeks to place a spiritual crown of thorns upon us. This represents the wounds of life - rejection, abuse, betrayal, and pain - that affect our thoughts, emotions, and actions. These wounds often lead to fleshly mindsets that do not align with God’s truth. But the good news is that Jesus bore the crown of thorns once and for all, and He now offers us His crown of life (James 1:12) and His crown of glory (1 Peter 5:4). God desires to remove every false crown and replace it with Kingdom mindsets through the renewing of our minds (Romans 12:2). As we submit our wounds to Jesus, He restores our souls (Psalm 23:3), binds up the broken-hearted (Isaiah 61:1), and makes us whole. In receiving healing through this prayer and prophetic act, I believe God has commissioned His holy angels to assist. The Holy Spirit Himself ministers the healing, and the angels of God serve alongside as ministering spirits. As Scripture says: ‘Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?’ (Hebrews 1:14, KJV).
(Prophetic Act) – Remove the crown of thorns and hand it over to Jesus. Lay hands on head and pray….
“Lord, I pray for healing in the spirit, soul, and body. Restore every wound and gather every fragmented piece, placing them back in their rightful place. Psalm 139:13-14: For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvellous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well. (Wait) I pray for the living water of the Word intermingled with the Blood of Jesus Christ to cleanse all wounds through spirit, soul and body. (Wait) I release the water and blood to cleanse the mind, thought processes, hurtful memories, belief systems, habits, emotions and perceptions. (Wait) I pray for the oil of the Holy Spirit, His healing balm, to restore every place of wounding in spirit, soul, and body. (Wait) I release the oil of the Holy Spirit upon the mind, to heal all thought processes, hurtful memories, belief systems, habits, emotions and perceptions. (Wait) I pray for the light of Christ to remove every scar and bring renewal. (Wait) I impart the mind of Christ which represents Kingdom mind-sets. Romans 12:2: And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God". (Wait) I impart the Father heart of God, and the new spirit and new heart that He has promised. Ezekiel 36:26: A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh. (Wait) I pray for complete wholeness and for the fullness of Father God’s love to be released. Ephesians 3:17-19: That Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height— to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. (Wait) I pray for the crowns in Christ to be placed upon the head - The Crown of Life - for those who endure trials and remain faithful Incorruptible (Imperishable) Crown - for disciplined, self-controlled living Crown of Righteousness - for those who long for Christ’s appearing Crown of Glory - for faithful shepherds of God’s people Crown of Rejoicing (or Soul-Winner’s Crown) - for those who lead others to Christ. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.”
