Traditions of Man

📖 "Making the word of God of no effect through your tradition..." 
-  Mark 7:13

So many today are unknowingly bound by the traditions of man - beliefs and practices passed down through culture, religion, or spiritual systems - that directly oppose the truth of God’s Word.

✨ Some honour ancestral rituals, cultural customs, or indigenous spirituality, believing these can coexist with following Jesus. But God is not one of many - He is the only true God. No mixture.

😩 Others burn sage to “cleanse” their homes, consult horoscopes, practice yoga for “energy flow,” or call on ancestors for guidance. These are spiritual substitutes rooted in deception, not truth. They may feel spiritual - but they are not of the Holy Spirit.

⚠️ Still others follow man-made religious traditions - rules, rituals, or church customs - that keep people in bondage rather than drawing them to repentance, surrender, and true relationship with Christ.

🛑 The Bible warns us: these traditions cancel the power of the Word in our lives. They harden hearts, blind minds, and open doors to spiritual deception.

✝️ But Jesus came to set the captives free. When we renounce tradition and follow His Word alone, we walk in truth, freedom, and authority.

➡️ Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal any tradition, belief, or practice in your life that doesn’t align with the Word. Then be willing to lay it down - no matter how "spiritual" or cultural it may seem.

"You shall have no other gods before Me."  -  Exodus 20:3

Jesus is not one option among many.
He is the way, the truth, and the life. (John 14:6)
