Generational Curses

The topic of Generational Curses is quite a controversial topic within the Christian circle. Many do not believe this is an area in which Christians can be affected but Mark and I, in our experience, believe it is one of the most common reasons why Christians can have demons, curses, sickness and disease.

Some Scriptures that those who don’t believe in Generational curses quote are as follows - “Fathers shall not be put to death for their children, nor shall children be put to death for their fathers; a person shall be put to death for his own sin" (Deuteronomy 24:16, NKJV).

Yet you say, ‘Why should the son not bear the guilt of the father?’ Because the son has done what is lawful and right, and has kept all My statutes and observed them, he shall surely live. The soul who sins shall die. The son shall not bear the guilt of the father, nor the father bear the guilt of the son. The righteousness of the righteous shall be upon himself, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon himself (Ezekiel 18:18-20, NKJV). Those who quote these verses claim that Generational curses ended here when Ezekiel spoke those versus which proves that Christians are no longer afflicted by this today. If you read Luke 11:46-51 you will see Jesus is speaking to the Pharisees about generational curses and the blood of the prophets being on this generation for the shed blood of all the past prophets from them and their fathers. This clearly shows that generational curses were still in operation to those transgressed the law of God.  I realise that this passage is quoted before Jesus went on the cross so I am merely using this to show that the punishment crescendo did not stop in the Old Testament when Ezekiel quoted the above verses like some believe. In regard to the passages quoted in Ezekiel, at first glance it does appear that the Generational curses stopped there and then, but we need to understand more of what these Scriptures actually mean. In the Old Testament when a Father sinned, not only could he be put to death as punishment for his sin, but his children could also.  God removed this law so only the one who sinned would be put to death. This also included being cut off from God resulting in spiritual death. Another thing that this verse did was ensure that the Generational iniquity stopped being passed down when one did what is lawful and right by following the laws and statutes of God. Only those who followed God and kept His law were exempt from this punishment of handed down sin and death.

What does this mean today? The good news for us, is that when one becomes a Christian by giving their life to Jesus (and becoming born-again) we take on His righteousness, so we are no longer judged guilty in the eyes of God. We don’t need to follow the law to get saved and we are no longer cut off from God the moment we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior. We are saved, born-again into His Kingdom and inherit eternal life simply by believing in Jesus and His work on the cross to save us. Not only this but once we become a Christian we now stop inheriting the guilt of the forefathers, even when those who still have grandparents and parents who are still alive are still committing sin, because we are judged righteous. In other words once you are saved the punishment crescendo of Generational curses stops being handed down from this point. Jesus freed us from the curse of the law. The curse of the law was the punishment system for sin. Generational curses were part of the curse of the law and there was steep punishment system for sin. Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”) (Galatians 3:13, NKJV).

You may now ask at this point am I contradicting myself? On one hand I am agreeing with the fact that Generational curses stop being handed down after you are born-again and on the other I am still saying that they need to be dealt with.  Why do they still have to be dealt with if the moment you are born-again the punishment for Generational curses is stopped? Generational curses stop being passed down once you are saved (this means any new sin committed by your unsaved parents or grandparents who are still alive) will not be passed down to you or your descendants anymore, but any previously inherited generational curses or sins you have inherited before you were born-again are still with you and need to be dealt with the same as all other sin in your life.

Why is this? The Generational curse system has always been in place for those who did not keep the law of God (before Christ), and to those who are not saved. And the Lord passed before him and proclaimed, “The Lord, the Lord God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abounding in goodness and truth, keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, by no means clearing the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children and the children’s children to the third and the fourth generation". (Exodus 34:6-7). I took this Scripture back to the original Hebrew words and the word for 'iniquity' in the verse was 'avon which means fault, guilt, blame, punishment and consequence of iniquity. Before we are born-again any sin committed by our ancestors three to four generations back means we are automatically judged guilty - the blame is on us as well as our ancestor who committed the sin. When our ancestors sinned we inherited our ancestor’s sin. It is as though we ourselves committed the sin. We may even be carrying an iniquity from a sin committed even further back than the third and fourth generation as the word tells us that some sins are also punishable to the tenth generation whilst others are forever. “Moreover all these curses shall come upon you and pursue and overtake you, until you are destroyed, because you did not obey the voice of the Lord your God, to keep His commandments and His statutes which He commanded you. And they shall be upon you for a sign and a wonder, and on your descendants forever" (Deuteronomy 28:45-56, NKJV). This even includes the sin of Adam and Eve.  The main curse pronounced over Adam and Eve and their descendants (us) was the curse of death over our physical bodies and spiritual death (separation from God).  When we are born-again the spiritual death is instantly removed as we are reunited with God as sin no longer separates us from Him, but clearly our physical bodies are still aging and subject to the curse and need to be resurrected in Him. Our soul and physical body are still inflicted with sin at this point and we need to be cleansed through the sanctification process. Paul the Apostle talks very clearly of the sin that is still afflicting him (Romans 8).

Sanctification is a process of healing and deliverance. We are sanctified (set apart and rendered holy) the moment we are born-again, but we also continue being sanctified (cleansed, delivered and changed into the likeness of Jesus) every day from that point.  In other words being saved is likened to a two part process – the first part where you are saved through faith and not your own works.  If you died at this point you would inherit the Kingdom of Heaven.  The second part is where you let go of the world (die to yourself) and inherit the Kingdom of Heaven by bringing heaven to earth.  It is all about dying.  The old you has to die so you can be raised in newness of life – through either physical death when God is ready to take you home, or through the dying to self-process where you are letting go of the world and seeking the Kingdom. Jesus is in Heaven seated at the right hand of the Father and when Jesus enters your heart through His Holy Spirit He brings Heaven to your earthen vessel.  Healing of the entire soul (heart) and physical body is however not instantaneous the moment we accept Jesus as our Lord and Saviour and is a process as we walk in obedience to Christ through obeying the leading of the Holy Spirit. This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh (Galatians 5:16, KJV). The word walk in Greek is Peripateo and means 1) Hebrew for, to live 1a) to regulate one's life 1b) to conduct one's self 1c) to pass one's life.

All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned everyone to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all (Isaiah 53:6, KJV). The iniquity that God laid upon Jesus at the cross was our guilt and punishment for breaking the law.  Jesus was held responsible for every sin we broke through not keeping the law. Jesus had already achieved keeping the whole law by Himself so it cancelled out this iniquity – in other words He had power over it.  This selfless act removed the curse of the law. We are no longer under the law. We are saved and will now inherit eternal life in Heaven.  It is a free gift. Although God went ahead of us and laid the sin of the whole world upon Jesus at the cross He does not violate free-will. Free-will is the freedom to choose our course of action and follow suit. If God laid every man and woman’s sin upon Jesus at the cross and that is all that had to be done then every man and woman in the world would be saved right then and there – the moment it happened– unbelievers and believers. This is proven to not be the case.  We have the choice to believe in Jesus and His work on the cross and enter into it or not. This means we also have to be willing to lay our sin upon Jesus. In other words we have to be willing to repent and turn away from it. 1 Peter 2:24 says that He bares our sin in His own body, that we being dead to sins should live unto righteousness. Being dead to sin means we have to die to sin.  This means we have to also go through the cross with Christ and allow Him to crucify the flesh. Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. For he that is dead is freed from sin (Romans 6:3-7, KJV). Until we have died to our old selves’ and crucified the flesh, sin still resides in us. We need the Holy Spirit to help us put to death the deeds of the flesh otherwise we reap corruption. There is still a reaping and sowing effect in place – whatever we sow we will also reap – good and bad. Crucifying the flesh is all part of the sanctification process.

How do we do this? By acknowledging we have sin by confession and repentance so the Blood of Jesus can remit the sin. We need to yield up (surrender) our sins to Jesus as this is our part of appropriating what Jesus did for us at the cross. The soul and physical body are not made new at the time of our conversion – we have to outwork what Jesus attained for us by letting go of the sin that God has already gone before us and dealt with.  He went ahead of us and prepared the way. It is now up to us to follow suit and let it go. Too many of us are holding on to things we shouldn’t be. If the Holy Spirit convicts you of a sin then this means it hasn't been forgiven (because you are still holding on to it and not handed it over to Christ to help you deal with it) which means it still holds power in your life.  Sin needs to be confessed.  It is the confession of the sin that enables the sin to be forgiven. Whoever conceals their sins does not prosper, but the one who confesses and renounces them finds mercy (Proverbs 28:13, NKJV). Having sin in our lives that is yet to be dealt with doesn’t hinder the first part of the sanctification process – we are still saved, we are still righteous and we are no longer separated from God as salvation is a free gift given by God to those who believe.

The second part of the sanctification process is seeking first the Kingdom of Heaven and His righteousness so everything else can be added unto you (Matthew 6:33). It is all about gaining the Kingdom of Heaven on earth. We need to surrender our all to Jesus. Unyielded areas (which are the areas we are holding onto) pose a problem for us because the Bible tells us to lay down our lives for His sake. Jesus has offered His life for our life.  All we need to do is take it by submitting our spirits/souls, bodies, and entire lives to Jesus.  It is a swap. There is an exchange that happens at the cross. He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for My sake will find it (Matthew 10:39, NKJV). This is harder than we think.  There are many areas in our lives that we want to hold on to. Take pride for example, we need to exchange our pride for the humility of Christ.  That is incredibly difficult. Man is incredibly prideful in many facets of life. Another example is impatience. Humans are incredibly impatient.  We need to walk through some pretty tough trials in order to take on the patience of Christ.  Interestingly the word patience in the KJV is 'longsuffering'. We cling to these areas and stubbornly refuse God access to them. Sometimes we may think we are yielding them, but God sees our heart and knows when we are not.  This poses a problem!  Any area not submitted to God is not brought under the Blood of Christ.  This means it stays in the hands of the devil.  The devil has a legal right over these areas. All unyeilded areas have not passed through the Cross. These areas remain unchanged and untouched until you actually go through the Cross. Just as a dirty car has to go through a carwash to come out the other side clean, so do we have to go through the cross to come out the other side clean!

All previous inherited sins, demons and curses from our ancestors also remain with us until they are dealt with by Jesus and brought through the Cross.  Why?  Because they were already judged and deemed to be our sin because of when we were under the Generational curse system. There comes a time when God needs someone to take accountability for them by repenting and then giving them to Christ for cleansing. Christ is the door and is now on the other side of the Cross sitting at the right hand of the Father in Heaven. To go through the door you need to first go through the cross. I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture (John 10:9, KJV). We may need repentance, deliverance and healing in those areas before we can let them go and accept Christ into them. All unyeilded areas are still seen as sin and need to be confessed and sanctified by using the name and power of Jesus Christ. This includes the previously inherited sins of our forefathers as they already become our sin before we were born-again.

Our DNA also bears the corruption of sin – our own sin and the sin of our ancestors corrupt and change our DNA. What is DNA? DNA stands for deoxyribonucleic acid and is a long molecule that contains our unique genetic code. DNA, along with the instructions it contains, is passed from adult organisms to their offspring during reproduction. In sexual reproduction, organisms inherit half of their nuclear DNA from the male parent and half from the female parent. DNA is found inside a special area of the cell called the nucleus. Because the cell is very small, and because organisms have many DNA molecules per cell, each DNA molecule must be tightly packaged. This packaged form of the DNA is called a chromosome. Genes are hereditary material that lies within the cell nucleus. Genes, which are made up of DNA, act as instructions to make molecules called proteins. To function correctly, each cell depends on thousands of proteins to do their jobs in the right places. Sin causes the corruption and changes in the genetic code of man which needs to be healed. Many diseases or sickness we see are caused by corruption in the DNA.  This corrupted DNA and genetic anomalies get passed on through our bloodline from generation to generation because of the generational curse system. Science shows us things like cancer being caused through a faulty gene. The faulty gene is the result of the sin and it is that gene that is inherited from parent to child. Only the blood of Jesus can remit the sin and heal the corruption in our faulty genes. Blockages on our end need to be cleaned out before we can sometimes receive the Blood of Jesus into these areas.  Blockages are things like sin and unyielded areas.

For a long time we have sought the Holy Spirit on how to remove ancestral sins from people. He would reveal by prophetic revelation actual sins so repentance can take place by standing in the gap and repenting on behalf of yourself and your ancestors. "But if they confess their iniquity and the iniquity of their fathers, with their unfaithfulness in which they were unfaithful to Me, and that they also have walked contrary to Me, and that I also have walked contrary to them and have brought them into the land of their enemies; if their uncircumcised hearts are humbled, and they accept their guilt— then I will remember My covenant with Jacob, and My covenant with Isaac and My covenant with Abraham I will remember" (Leviticus 26:40-42, NKJV). Even after this I was noticing there was not much change taking place. I sought Him and asked what we were missing. This is what He spoke: “Until now people haven't known how to appropriate removing Generational curses at the Cross. There is a way and you can incorporate this into your Ministry. Ask Jesus to give you a Blood transfusion using His pure and perfect Blood.  It is all about the Blood of Jesus.  The Blood of Jesus is missing.”

The DNA and genetic heritage in our blood carries all the sins and memories of our ancestors.  This corruption within our blood can bring disease and sickness.  Our blood has a voice and cries out to God day and night wanting justice and peace.  We see in Genesis how the blood of Abel had a voice and cried out for vengeance. And He said, “What have you done? The voice of your brother’s blood cries out to Me from the ground" (Genesis 4:10, NKJV).  To clean out the corruption in our blood and DNA we need to willingly yield and surrender to Jesus our blood, genetic inheritance and natural ancestry and ask Him to filter it with His pure and perfect blood and DNA and remove everything that is not of God and His Kingdom. The blood He shed on the cross can actually cleanse our blood along with the DNA and corrupted genes. We need to ask Him to show us any corrupt roots within our blood.  There can be traditions and cultures that are within our blood, or that we may even still be entering into that are rooted in witchcraft and idol worship.  Some even go so far as to idolise their ancestry, in the sense that where they come from becomes an idol in itself. There can be genetic inheritance we have gained that gives us prominence and power but comes from an unGodly place. Many clients who come through our Ministry have royal blood in their ancestry. The Lord revealed that the royal family has corrupt roots, so any royalty in your blood that is not God-given needs to be laid down and removed. On top of this your own sin also causes corruption in your genes. The work on the Cross allows Jesus to remove the corruption from our blood - we just need to be willing to give it up to Him including any prominence and power handed down from generation to generation. Jesus had no flaws in His genetics. His DNA and blood were pure. The Bible tells us that it is the fathers who hand down generational curses. The word fathers in Hebrew is 'ab and means forefather or ancestor. The Bible also tells us that man and woman become one flesh when they come together so the mother's sin will also be handed down alongside the fathers. Jesus was an immaculate conception; thereby He did not have a paternal father but He did have a paternal mother - Mary.  Mary was chosen by God because she was favoured.  This obviously meant she was righteous. Nothing could be handed down through her bloodline to Jesus because God had already seen to it that Mary was clean. Joseph not being Jesus’ natural father claimed Jesus as his own thereby adopting Him into the lineage of David (which came from the line of Abraham which was blessed by God. Abraham’s lineage was blessed. Mary was descended from Nathan (son of David) and Joseph descended from Solomon (Son of David), both of which were from the blessed line of Abraham. God even had a plan for the adopted lineage that Jesus would inherit. When you marry two become one flesh - if you have come together before marriage you actually take on each other's corruption and demonic spirits and if virgins at marriage you inherit each others Godly inheritance. Jesus is our husband and we are his bride. We become one with Christ when we accept Him as our Lord and Saviour. We then become adopted sons and daughters in the Kingdom of God and through our adoption we take on His perfect blood. We then need to allow his perfect lineage and perfect blood to purge out what is deemed unclean. Then Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in you.  Whoever eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. For My flesh is food indeed, and My blood is drink indeed.  He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood abides in Me, and I in him" (John 6:53-56, NKJV). Drinking His blood means true belief in the Son no matter the circumstances. There is a testing that takes place so that God can really see what your heart believes. His Blood is such an important part of the sanctification process. His flesh represents the word of God (His Body) and we need to understand and know the truth of His word and walk in it as it is the truth of His word that sets us free. (Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free (John 8:31-32, KJV).

Some Ministries may tell you to cut yourself free from your natural lineage or even denounce it to enter into Jesus’s.  We don’t agree with this. In our process we are not cutting of our lineage, just the corruption we have inherited within the blood. Our lineage (ancestry) is part of us. Just as the Bible lists the lineage of Christ from the blessed line of Abraham we see it is also part of who Jesus was. In fact if we cut our self-free from our natural lineage it could prove very detrimental. The Holy Spirit gave me a revelation and prayer about blood ties. This is what I was shown - Blood ties are spiritual and physical and connect DNA to DNA. If a blood tie is severed as in disownment (rejection) of your bloodline and any family members then any DNA your share or have in common with that person is also rejected within your own body.  This could prove detrimental to your health and wellbeing. The Word of God says in Psalm 139 that He knitted us together in our mother’s womb.  All of the races and lineage you carry is not by chance. After the Tower of Babel was built God Himself scattered man into new lands and gave each a new tongue. There came about new tribes, new people and new nations. Each of these people are uniquely different with specific talents and attributes specific to their race and culture which are God-given.  God wants to use these natural talents within our different races and combine them with the gifts of the Spirit and utilise them for His purposes.  He doesn't want to take away you and your own identity - he wants to transform you into a Christ-like creation – to be Holy as He is Holy. The problem is the corruption within each and every one of us is hindering the work of the Holy Spirit. God wants to redeem all of these races keeping their God-given uniqueness and natural talents but removing all the corruption including cultural traditions that are rooted in idolatry. Revelation 5:9-10 (NIV) And they sang a new song, saying: “You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals, because you were slain, and with your blood you purchased for God persons from every tribe and language and people and nation. You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to serve our God, and they will reign on the earth.

In regard to the resurrection into our Heavenly bodies (when Jesus returns) I believe we will then be cut off from our earthly lineage/bloodlines and adopted spirit/soul and physical body into our Heavenly lineage and Heavenly family but until then I believe it is important to honor our earthly lineages.

***Below is a prayer that I have put together addressing Generational curses. If you have children then pray and declare to God that you claim this prayer generational freedom over them and all future descendants too!

**** In regard to the Generational prayers we believe this applies to your natural birth parents only as it is corrupted inherited genes which are in your bloodline.  Adopted parents can generate ungodly soul ties to their adopted children which means you can then inherit any of their sins and demonic spirits through that soul tie. If you are adopted ask God directly to show you anything that you may have inherited from your adopted family and then deal with it through repentance, forgiveness etc.  Make sure you break those ungodly soul ties and cast out any demonic spirits.

(PRAYER) - "Father God I ask if there are any specific ancestral sins, transgressions and iniquities that need repenting and also any traditions, cultures and religions within my bloodline that have roots into idol worship of false gods.  I pray too that you would show me any ungodly genetic inheritance that I need to surrender".
(Take a minute and write them down).

“Father God in Jesus name I willingly hand over my bloodline to You for cleansing and healing. In Jesus name I repent and confess all sins, transgressions and iniquities known and unknown on behalf of myself and my ancestors all the way back to Adam and Eve. I repent for all religions, cultures and traditions that are rooted in idol worship. Father God I take accountability for them and express my sincere remorse for lack of accountability within my bloodline where no one repented for them. I specifically repent for (name anything shown). I repent for all rejection of our natural lineage of who we are and where we came from and for any severed blood connections within my family line. I pray for all rejected DNA to be made whole, utilised, renewed, restored and accepted in Jesus name. I repent also for all idolisation of our natural lineage. I honour my mother and father and all my ancestors but I utterly turn from and renounce their sins. I willingly yield and surrender to You Lord Jesus Christ my blood and DNA so You can filter it with Your perfect blood and remove everything that is not of God and His Kingdom. I ask for the DNA of Christ to be grafted into my blood. Lord Jesus Christ I ask for You to give me a Blood transfusion using Your pure and perfect Blood. I give up all genetic inheritance, titles, blessings and power that I have obtained that is not God-given.

I willingly accept the God-given inheritance handed down to me from the Lord Jesus Christ and enter into His perfect bloodline. I forgive my ancestors all the way back to Adam and Eve for inflicting me and my children with their sins and curses. I forgive You God that Your system of handed down curses affected me and acknowledge that Your justice system is good. I thank You that now I am a follower of Christ this punishment system of handed down curses from the sins of the forefathers will no longer apply to me and my children when our forefathers sin. I renounce and remove all the demonic corruption, influence and iniquities that have attached themselves to my bloodline and declare that it can no longer affect me, my children, my life, my marriage, my circumstances, my finances, my future and my health. I declare that the Blood of Jesus will bring blessing over my life, my children and our off-springs lives, my marriage, my circumstances, my finances, my future and my health. Thank You Father for knitting me together in my mother’s womb with all the different races that make me who I am in You. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvellous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well (Psalm 139:14, NKJV). I release healing into my body and into all genetic anomalies in Jesus name. In the name of Jesus Christ I ask that You would remove these sins from the matter of creation and cleanse the memories from my DNA and heal any damage caused by the corruption. I break all generational curse lines, curses, inherited sin, ungodly soul ties between all family members and command all demons of generational inheritance and transference to leave in Jesus name. I cover the sins of my bloodline with the blood of Jesus."
*Rip paper with sins in pieces*

"Father God I now pray for a release of the blessings that were purchased by the Lord Jesus Christ for me into my life and my family's lives in Jesus name. I release exuberance, happiness, fruitfulness, abundance, well-being, triumph and Gods favour in Jesus name.  Thank You Lord Jesus, Amen".

Mixed Heritage
In this prayer we address warring spirits, which are spirits we inherit when we have mixed blood or mixed heritage from nations that are or were in direct opposition to each other. This division and fighting within our own souls can wreak havoc on our lives if it is not addressed.  You may even see the generational pattern of division within your own family if this is not dealt with. One classic example is when there is a mixed race of Maori and Pakeha  If we have had ancestors from opposing religions this too can cause disharmony within your soul. You will need to stand in for each lineage/ religion/ race/ tribe/ nation or clan represented and repent for the wars between you then forgive each one represented on behalf of the opposing one in order for God to cleanse and heal.

(PRAY) – “I pray for the Holy Spirit to show me any strife and division operating within my bloodline". ***Write them down then line then up with the opposing mixed heritage i.e.,
Maori – Pakeha
Jews – Nazis
Protestant – Catholic etc…………..

"Dear God if I or my children have inherited mixed blood or mixed heritage that is in direct opposition to one another I repent for the wars and bloodshed that went on between these races and nations. I forgive the ancestors on both sides for their part in the wars against one another. I repent for myself and ancestors for all sins of contention, chaos, division, fighting, complaining, judgments, bickering, dishonesty, broken covenants, corruption, strife, fighting of ownership of lands and arguments. I repent for all sins committed that have defiled the land, particularly the spilling of blood. I specifically repent for the aforementioned sins within my bloodline between (name all lineages/ religions/ races/ tribes/ nations/ clans and people shown).

On behalf of the (name each lineage/ religion/ race/ tribe/ nation/ clan or person shown in the first column) I forgive (name each one that is in opposition with the named one, then do the opposite).
Example: *** On behalf of the Maoris, Jews and Catholics I forgive the Pakehas, Nazis and Protestants.  On behalf of the Pakehas, Nazis and Protestants I forgive the Maoris, Jews and Catholics.

I cut myself and my children free from the warring spirits in Jesus name and break all forms of division, separation, chaos, arguments, contention, fighting and strife in the name of Jesus Christ and break all ungodly soul ties that exist between all parties mentioned. I command Thor the demonic god of war, warring spirits and all other demons including division, separation and strife, as well as all demons who transferred via the soul ties to leave in the name of Jesus Christ. I cleanse the land where all blood has been spilled with the righteous blood of Jesus Christ. I release Love, Joy, Peace, Harmony and Patience in Jesus name”.

******It is a good idea to also ask the Holy Spirit if there is any conflicting heritage within your soul and your spouses soul causing division between you both. For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh” (Ephesians 5:31, NKJV). Because you are one flesh it works the same way as the warring within your own soul. If one of the couples is an unbeliever You can still use the same prayer by first declaring that you are standing in the gap for yourself and husband as one flesh.

(Husband and Wife together) - "We ask the Holy Spirit to show us any conflicting heritage and beliefs that cause division between us". (Write them down and again with the ones in opposition beside them).

"We repent for ourselves and ancestors for all sins of contention, chaos, division, fighting, complaining, judgments, bickering, dishonesty, broken covenants, corruption, strife and arguments between each and within our bloodline between (name all lineages/ religions/ races/ tribes/ nations/ clans and people shown).

On behalf of (name each lineage/ religion/ race/ tribe/ nation/ clan or person shown in the first column) we forgive (name each one that is in opposition with the named one, then do the opposite).
We command the warring spirits and all spirits of division that cause disharmony to leave us (and our children) immediately in the name of Jesus Christ."
